SCILIO FAMILY
For our family, making wine means above all cultivating the vineyard, taking care of it so that it can give the best fruits to be transformed into a wine that must preserve the characteristics of the land from which it comes

ORGANIC CULTIVATION
Taking care of the vineyard also means maintaining a nature that our ancestors shaped by giving it a new shape, protecting it so that it can continuously renew itself.
Also for this reason our choice to adopt an organic cultivation regime

1815 Rosso
The 1815 Etna Red is produced from grapes carefully selected from the old vineyards that surround the cellar founded in the year 1815, of which the carved lava stone commemorates the first vintage. Wine with a dry, warm, robust but soft palate.

Valle Galfina Rosato
The Valle Galfina Etna Rosato is a wine of a brilliant pink hue, with intense, delicate, fruity flavours, and a smooth, structured well balanced taste.

Orphéus
The Orphéus is a wine of an intense ruby red colour. A combination of fruity and spicy aromas with hints of cherry, rich and persistent on the palate, full bodied and pleasing tannins.

1815 Bianco
The 1815 Etna White is produced from grapes carefully selected from the old vineyards that surround the cellar founded in the year 1815, of which the carved lava stone commemorates the first vintage. This wine, delicate, intense, rich, has hints of orange blossom and Etna broom.

Valle Galfina Rosso
The Valle Galfina Etna Rosso is a brilliant ruby red wine, with a rich, intense fruity aroma, smooth and well balanced palate, persistent and pleasantly tannic.
Our estate is located in the “Contrada Valle Galfina“, close to the town of Linguaglossa.
The grapes are the product of young and old vines that grow in harmony in the unique and particular terroir of the Etna , on the north-eastern side of the volcano. The particular favorable minerals contained in the volcanic soil, the particular microclimate and the choice of native coultivars ( Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante ) and the low yield per hectare, allow a production of high quality grapes.
